@Behemoth

currently the search only supports search for the station names. but i know that some backends supports both (like mvv-muenchen). Problem is that (at least for mvv) you have to select twice in the webui. first "streetname city", and then "streetnumber".

but i guess i can add support for it sometime.

@treofant:
currently, the gps starts on launch (if enabled or on toggle). after that the gps tries to find the position.

until receiving atleast one valid location package the gps button is greyed out.

but i can and will recheck the options the gps is started/marking packages as valid. For me the gps works after ~ 10 seconds, but i have my table near a window.

Can someone please explain the need for differnt (german) backends?

Aside from bahn.de/mobile.bahn.de, all regional "Verkehrsverbünde" are using the same system anyway, with their own visualization on top of it.

At least most of them use the system provided by the VRR (efa.vrr.de). And well, vrr.de though a being a Verkehrsverbund for NRW it will bring up results for routes in BW or Hessen (and the rest of Germany) as well.

In the same way mdv.de brings ups results for trains/buses in Dortmund.

Do I miss something?

I think it would be better to support as much of the features of two backends (one of the Verkehrfsverbünde and banh.de) than 10 of them all bringing the same results out of the same database.

Hi,

if you think like that you only need bahn.de (and maybe sbb.ch for swiss trains, but thats also on bahn.de).

The thing with the localized backends is that for example the munich interface provides more options (not yet available in fahrplan) to restrict the data to trains available only in munich, also you don't need to add the string "munich" or "münchen" in the search query.

i also noticed some difference in the details provided by the different backends.

hi smurfy.

thanks for the great update. it works very well now.
is it possible to add a feature sothat we can select if we want to search all trains or only regional trains (Nahverkehr)?

thanks in advance.
