Are there any apps which will allow seeking in the video stream.
Have Canola working OK, problem is that if interrupted part way through a movie there seems no way to jump to the middle of the movie next time.

Thanks
Keith

Sorry did not make it clear.
Problem is with streaming video, sliding the time bar in Canola does nothing same goes for media streamer.
Is there any streaming player which does ?

Yes, I also have this issue. I wonder if it's the limitation of uPNP standard or the uPNP server?

I've use Media Streamer and Canola as client. TVersity on Windows Vista as the server.

I've had the same problem between TVersity and my 360. It's the transcoding that prevents seeking.

Dont think it is the transcoding.
Encoded a movie to 770 standards, when played from card, mplayer Canola and the inbuilt video player can all seek the video stream.
However when streamed over the WLAN none of them will.

Have used tversity and Fuppes as servers all with no seeking ?

Any ideas...................

Yes, it seems to me that this is the limitation of using transcoding on the uPNP server.

Had a look and indeed installed Orb.
Excellent just the job, re encodes on the fly and at last I am able to jump within the stream.
Downside is that quality is better using tiversity.
So still looking for something that will stream over the internal network and allow me to jump through the video stream.
Thanks for the heads up tbf, will use Orb for now.
