Hi, we're hard at work on a scheduled upgrade (yay!)
In the meantime, be sure to visit the newest member of the Ovi family, Ovi Store

Wasnt PR1.2 upgrade bringing qt supposed to be bring in more apps?
Not quite. It was just to make porting (Qt) apps easier to and from Maemo and other platforms. There won't be more apps unless people decide to make more apps.
Although at the moment, I'm completely fine with an application list I can actually read through. I've got about 237 apps installed (from various sources), most of which I actually use. I think that's comparable to the average iPod Touch/iPhone user.

Not quite? Seriously? My eyes must decieve me, because when I look at http://maemo.nokia.com/ I see the words "Get new apps from Ovi Store" in huge block 3D right next to screenshots of Jurassic Rollercoaster, and Zen Bound.

Not all users will install from Devel & Testing sources. So hope to get as much as possible of applications in Ovi & Maemo Select.
