Fails:

-Ovi Store (does anyone use it?)
-Lack of portrait mode
-No voice dialing
-Ovi Maps short comings
-No native MMS

Wins:

I totally agree if adding "-Nokia nonsupport" to Fails, and "-TMO support" to Wins

Truthfully, I don't see Nokia's lack of support as a major fail in the N900. I knew exactly what I was buying when I got it (the first week it was out, at the Flagship store in NYC). I have been programming for 10+ years and have a little Linux knowledge. I have my problems but the maemo.org community beats by far any "support" I have ever gotten from a company (ex. Sony, Samsung, Apple, etc.) - I <3 N900.

I have seen this kind of threads over and over again. pros and cons, fails and wins, good vs evil.

fails...nokia's comunication skills...I will remove my nokia logo from my n900.
wins...the community...I will replace it with maemo.org

It would be nice have an offline capable turn-by-turn navigation app out of the box. Not sure about the availabilities of voice and hand-writing recognitions any time soon.

Skype and Google Talk integration rocks in the Maemo. Emulator games (PicoDrive especially) are my best friends during long travels
