Compared to mafw-lastfm:
  • Support for multi-scrobbling
  • Improved song queue handling
  • Permanent storage
  • Video clips are ignored
  • Support for now-playing
  • Support for network connection detection
  • Proxy support

Packages are here.
I'm using maemo-scrobbler and love it! So, thanks!

I would like to have a disable option, since I listen to my music a lot, and I'm not at last.fm
Also, it would be cool to reset it. It seems that you change username/pass and it doesn't restart!
I don't understand what's the problem if you listen to music a lot?

And the process doesn't need to restart: you change your username/password, and internally there will be a reconnection; the song queue wouldn't be lost though.

Although I didn't ask the question, I'd like to disable scrobbling for periods, when I listen to stuff that I don't need/want to be scrobbled, like downloaded talk radio.

Maemo-scrobbler runs in the background, you just need to fill in your username/password in settings

edit:

Ok, its running in the background. Do I need to do anything to make it work with Vagalume?

Yes, I would also like that. One option is to configure only one folder to contain the music to scrobble. Another option is to have a "disable"/"enable" button... but that of course would need a UI first.

My current plan is to have a widget on the desktop where you can "love" tracks, then it should be easy to add a checkmark to enable/disable song queuing.
