Hello,

I recently installed maemo Mapper, camera, and Idea (in that order) and afterwards noticed that the blue power light would flash on and off about every 15/20 seconds (when idle or charging). Thinking that the cause may be one of the apps I uninstalled them all and the blue light flashing still persists. This is something the n800 has never done previously.

Any idea what could be causing this? It has the most recent firmware.

Thanks,

berlin

Check the status of "Show LED lights" in Control Panel -> Display.

Hmm wow disco feeling... I thought that it might be used to signal stuff - like new mail, new message etc...

Pretty sure that's what it's for. I just don't see the point of it, since my tablet is in a case all the time anyway. Can't see the light.

Well you save power because you don't have to reactivate the screen to check if you got mails... Btw. does anyone know if there is a way to control these leds from python ? *thinks of making the things more useful*
