I haven't tested fring, but after finally getting through to a supervisor at t mobile and testing out mobile broadband plus to see if it fixed this (which it does), i've been upgraded to plus for free since they have no idea why this isn't working lol...

guess if they upgrade enough t mobile customers for free they'll consider looking into this deeper...

i sorted out my msn with T-Mobile, phoned them and unblocked it. This was about 3 months ago or more, since the update I can no longer connect using pecan... have noticed that some people are having issues but I can connect fine at home but not over t-mobile???

Cool, thanks for the samsul. There has been a few bits in the news about data plans recently and am worried that some sort of block had been put in place...

I used to be with tmobile and msn worked fine with the cheapest web'n'walk, but after a while they seemed to have banned it on the network rather than just saying you aren't allowed to do it. they only blocked direct connections to the IM servers though, so if you are using a client which connects to the servers using a www connection method then it still works.

after a while i upgraded to web'n'walk plus so i could use a proper msn connection which worked ok, but have since changed to vodafone as data connections on tmobile were so unreliable.
