I've stumbled into the bolt browser - http://www.boltbrowser.com/ - and the thing is damn' quick to be a java app on a mobile phone, quicker than opera mini it seems. It would be nice on a NIT.

Java is not officially supported on the NITs. There are some ports, but it is usually dog slow.

I wouldn't recommend any kind of Java browser on the NITs at this stage.

@zabishah20, if you have an N900, just install Opera for Maemo.

If its a moble Java app, then you'll need to run it in MicroEmulator on top of a Java installation (Sun Java / OpenJDK). I believe there is a version in extras-devel.

After the resurrection of this old thread, I tried bolt.jar in microemulator on the n900, but it refused to start. Nevermind
