Not the way they could be, transferring from Outlook to N900 messes up with starting times and alarms last time I checked. Contacts don't work as expected since public release.

Guys, come on is better if Nokia is releasing something than nothing at all, even if is buggy, n900 needs more software, this sounds like a door is opening.

These people have commercial pressures/deadlines to release such products and sometimes not all bugs are spotted in the GA release, specially if noone reports them.... if something was working and is now broken then we talking about a regression issue, and developers do not like to hear the word regression, so if you find any problems just report them so that their development team can fix them, if such issues are a show stopper then I'm sure they will be releasing an update very soon once the issue has been pinpoint and identified.

Maybe someone should post a link to their support in this thread.

I've just wasted my time downloading and uninstalling that useless OVI Suite.

What a disappointment. Not even contacts sync all the info.

Uninstalled already.

downloaded it yesterday, had a few problems initially with installation, but after a couple of attempts at installation it got there in the end.

seems to work fine now. it doesn't back up txt messages, but apart from that eveything else works.

I guess (or hope) this version of ovi suite will be improved over time and hope nokia release regular updates.

Bottom line, it's a big improvement on the old pc suite we've been forced to use for ages.

Worth downloading and having a go with it. At least, if all else fails, you can revert back to pc suite for basic pc sync requirements.

Be aware that if you use it to sync your contacts, the IM account information will be stripped from them, and the next time you go online your IM contacts will be duplicated again. You will need to re merge them.

nokia have forgotten us, the door isn't opening.
The only way they will come back prob is if meego eventually takes off on the n900 and does well, then it would be a case for them to jump in and support it.
But I very much doubt it, as this is nokia we are talking about. The company is just like a player, we are the door mat getting used and abused. They have no answers or any great conferences on what's going on, all we get is a bunch of tw*ts at events doing the review or demo for them. Pretty obvious as well as to why that is.....cause they been playing everyone for years!
Don't get me wrong i aint a hater just a complainer :-P but hey ill still prob end up getting the new meego n9! lol
