i know know where you get your information.but ff7 runs for many ppl with psx4all at fullspeed even not oc and with sixaxis support.so if i wouldnt have ff7 on my ps3 i would use the emu too.go to the psx4all thead there are many best conig posts......

Yeah, it runs. Not quite at full speed for me, though, and I think Ive set it up the way its most efficient way as the psx4all thread suggest.

Ive got VII through X for the PS2, though I travel a lot, and would love to be able to play these games on my N900. While FF VII works on the psx4all with the BIOS and right settings, the sound is still weirdly tempoed and the game itself has shifting speeds.

People need to realize that for a game to be ported to linux, the devs need the source. Most games are not open source. I doubt there's a linux version of ffvii.

@nax3000 there is a half working ff7 port for linux, opensource, called http://q-gears.sourceforge.net/

Its really alpha, but its active.

iv tried to get ffvii running on psx4all but no result it keeps crashing at the first battle and the fps are pretty bad even though ive OCd to 800, can anyone give me the proper settings and explain to me what exactly the bios do and how to use them? i know these are some noobey *** questions but ive tried looking through the psx4aLL thread and i cannot find anything so any help would be great

The games are compiled for Windows x86. The N900 is Linux on ARM, so both the processor and operating system are different from the games' native environment. Given the games are closed source, you're still looking at emulation.

sean: i got the BIOS file, set frameskip to 1/2, cycle to 10, and ticked off Frameskip: Blit and NULL GPU, kinda works.
