I'm using the latest firmware and xterm is running fine.
Have you tried re-installing xterm? If it's not in the extra menu than it's not properly installed.

I downloaded and installed the XTERM package (http://770.fs-security.com/xterm/) but after I install it I can not seem to find how to start it?? I also installed the bash (http://www.opbyte.it/maemo/) but nothing either. Anyone know how launch the xterm?
