Custom transition.ini, sort of a cross between MohammadAG's and D-livils one with no blur (keeping the main menu scrolling smoothly) and the shortest transition times from each to keep everything snappy.
Background is set to zoom out for a nice effect going into the main menu.

EDIT: Forgot to mention no snap to grid so all your meticulous widget positions will remain untouched
