The n900 service manual is in the wiki.

What's the reason you need to replace your screen? If it's broken you are better off sending it to nokia I think. Unless you scratched it and just want a new, your only choice is to do it yourself or live with it.
Thanks alot...
Yeah believe it or not my n900 slid off my bed and landed screen down on the corner of a metel dumb bell weight. Thankfully all that happened was a very small fingernail indent on one spot on the screen ( like the same size of a mark your pinky finger would make if you pinched your skin) I actually am very very lucky considering the 15 pound metal bar it landed on. The indent in the screen only becomes a problem when I am drawing or trying to scroll in that area. There are no pixel problems whatsoever, so I am pretty sure that there is nothing wrong with the LCD just the touch screen.

thenokiaparts.com

Only place that I know of, aside from maybe ebay. But they are out of stock, and also closed until july 8th. Hopefully when they open again they will replenish their n900 part stock. I need to grab something myself.

Hi I was about to replace the digitizer/touch thing. I odered the part from mytrendyphone.no and after waiting for it for a very long time, I was eager to replace it so I dissasembled the N900 but first then I noticed what I did get from mytrendyphone was utterly crap and a very bad and cheap copy and no metal frame or speker as described. There was allso dust/particles and finger prints inside the digitizer "sandwich". I returned it and I am waiting for a reply. So I am back to scratch with old parts. No problem operation. If you are technically capable. The screws feel very easy to break so be careful. Anyone knows where to get hold of N900 scfrews kit, I would feel much safer operating the phone again if I had a new screws kit, but have not been able to get hold of any.

Okay, now I am done and happy again. mytrendyphone.no replaced the "cheap china copy" with an original Nokia touch screen with metal frame and ear piece. I swapped it without any problems with screws (again). Perfect. This time I did the operation 10 times faster.

To complete this operation I followed these steps in the:
Nokia RX-51 Service Manual Level 1&2

Page 12, step 4,5,6,7,8

Page 16, step 25,26,27,28,29,30

Page 17, step 40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47

Just reverse the steps to get it back together.

If anyone still reads this, have you used the same screws or did you order them new? And what about the earpiece adhesive? What did you use instead?

It is recommended to use always new screws (the screw kit is cheap), but I reused the old ones, because they came out really easily and without any damage to heads or threads. If I remember correctly, when I replaced my Digitizer the part came with the earpiece, so I didnt have to use any extra adhesive. I used this part:

Thanks for the info, but where can I get the screws? I tried googling "phillips screws size 00" but I get only offers to buy a screwdriver. Ir can I walk into a store to buy them?

I found http://aukro.cz/digitizer-lcd-dotyko...805604712.html for around 11€, but I guess it comes from China and I have read mixed reactions to Chinese products here. On the other hand, the price for your part is two much for me. The problem with my screen (besides lots of scratches) is that just under left upper corner, it gets a bit unresponsive, but it is not such a huge deal to spend 50€ on it. I might just try to order it and the worst that can happen is that it wont work.
