Managed to keep things stable long enough to get a screenshot.

As you can see, it's 7:10 (GMT Timezone). Yet the widget is displaying what looks like 10:10, but with the hour hand out of position.

Hahaaaaa!!!! Sussed it out.

Looking at the screenshot does indicate that the clock is way out. But on further tinkering I've discovered that it's just not displaying the correct skin.

In the screenshot it should have been displaying the 24hr clock, as I had that enabled in the settings. Disabled 24hr and bingo! It now seems to be working fine.
Not sure about the disappearing widgets problem, but it hasn't happened again since, so I'll keep an eye on it.

I currently have both Desktop Clock Widget and ConnectNow in use, and their individual settings have survived several reboots so far with no problems for me. Are you sure it couldn't be something else?

Samesame. No issues here whilst using multiple connectnow widgets, although they are on different desktops.

regarding the 24 hour option:

what is that supposed to be? FYI: a real clock in countries with 24-hour-systems doesnt have 24 hour-steps. they works just like normal 12 hour-step clocks.

just because i'm curious: when its 6 pm, will the hour-hand be at the 9 o clock position?

Look at the last post on page 5, OP provided a picture of the 24 hour clock. If you don't wanna look, yes, it's like you said.
