I ask this as I may have lost my stylus for the last time (fifth i think!).. Ive checked the box and I dont seem to have any spare, so I need to find out how many came with my n900 when it was bought initially! thanks. Do nokia sell official ones, and if not, who sells the most authentic replacements? Ill probably need a set of 20. Just to be safe. LOL! thanks

Just the one.

Do nokia sell official ones...
Not directly to consumers, no. Sometimes parts dealers sell them.

i haven't seen any aftermarket N900 styluses for sale, but admittedly, I have not gone deliberately looking.

And you do realize you've summoned danramos with this kind of talk, right? I must flee.

go to a mobile phone store and steal the stylus from the dummy n900s

lol I supposed you can do that, steal one from the dummy but the problem is the dummy doesn't have a real stylus. It only just stylus slot glued in.

You might have to mail your N900 back to Nokia so that they can mail you back an N900 with the replacement part you need. At least, that's the impression I got. I like Mastac's solution best.

haha the N900 dummy at the carphone warehouse by me had a real useable stylus, although it wasnt as rigid as the real one and snapped after a few weeks.

I thought Fake said he was going to be making and selling some, but I can't remember. Maybe take a look at his shop once it's back up again?

EDIT: I'd recommend Fake's products in any case, so if I'm not imagining hearing about that, then I'd grab one from there.

AAARGH!!!!!! ive been looking for it all day since 5pm-third time looking behind the couch.. and HAVE JUST FOUND IT!!!!!!

I think its shocking that you only get one, especially if they dont sell spares. I do have spare stylus somewhere, I think I bought them intentially for the n900 aeons ago, only to find out they were for an iphone or similar - far too big and wouldnt fit in the n900 slot for storage.. no idea where they are now.

At least I dont have to go shopping for stylus by looking suspicious at the dummy n900s in any nokia stores anymore, lol. Ill need to put some sort of detection device onto the stylus so ill always know where it is when it mysteriously goes missing.. AND IT WILL!! lol

ps ignore the time of posting - its now midnight in the uk. I have not been looking for the stylus for just 10 mins. lol

If you want some cheap goto E-Bay Hong Kong. I also bought 3 there.
Mine are exactly the same size and they are Nokia branded, but the finish of the stylus is a bit different and they are more flexible than the original ones. But they are all working perfectly and for 2,8 USD (incl. shipping from Hong Kong) I'm really happy.
If anyone needs some photos just ask :P
Right now I'm only using the fake stylus, so I cant loose the original one

its worse for left handers, every time I take it out I have to do a little dance between hands and then the same in reverse when I put it back.
