You can test the internal Maemo Browser HTML5-WEBGL capabilities (direct hardware opengl rendering)

I put together a list of WebGL demos that work on the N900 the other day. There's some fun stuff there.

The rendering speed is a little bit slow.
I recompiled the newest mesa package 7.8.2 if anyone need it. The package also contains the original PR 1.2 libs for webgl support.
Maybe I have to recompile libEGL.so too.

libOSMesa.so and libGLU.so

copy those 2 files into /opt/usr/lib, and create symbolic links to /usr/lib

ln -s TARGET DESTINATION

ln -s /opt/usr/lib/libOSMesa.so.7.8.2 /usr/lib/libOSMesa.so

ln -s /opt/usr/lib/libOSMesa.so.7.8.2 /usr/lib/libOSMesa.so.7

ln -s /opt/usr/lib/libGLU.so.1.3.070802 /usr/lib/libGLU.so

ln -s /opt/usr/lib/libGLU.so.1.3.070802 /usr/lib/libGLU.so.1

@taril how does this compare to flash in terms of performance?

Cool. Does it play at a reasonable speed though? I would try it out except for the pain in installing it.

It is not as fast as could be, but the html5 development for N900 has started.

Not all the youtube videos are renderable via htm5 yet! On desktop too!

Youtube video performance on N900 via HTML5 is slower than via Adobe Flash, maybe the direct GPU rendering hasnt implemented yet.

Fennec nightly actually supports html5 as much as Firefox builds.
http://beta.html5test.com/ shows 189 points for fennec and 149 for maemo default browser.
