Haven's experienced this.. mine works.
Would be good but not necessary. Some equalizing could be done through "alsamixer -c 0" in the terminal.
Yes, there is. It need you to overclock though.
There is an application that does this. I am not sure about different ringtones though. I know there are some working toward this.
The quality is good. Better than most other smartphones out there.
It might come. (have flash 10 been relased yet?)
Mine is good. Might be a problem with your speaker. Yeah.. would like an option to make the screen not close. Or be open longer than 2 min.
Thake a look at the application Mappero.
Take a look at Fast Application Manager
?? Never experienced this. Only that my QBWs crash sometimes.
hmm.. this i am not sure of. Would be a big download when online though.
You could switch of the internet. Then it would not look for updates. There is a bunch of programs for that.
Are possible but pretty advanced for what i know.
No news of this here too.
This is hard cause i have found most that i need. And are content with most of the features. Though.. A gui partitionprogram (like parted) would be nice, Ubuntu 10.7 with sound and wifi, UbuntuOne... hmm.. thats it. What i can think of now.

TADA. you answered yourself - "all they are doing exactly what im doing, b*tching". so what is the point?
And if there would be any solution to flash or whatever, you would know it. as well, it's your f'ing problem that you are lazy to read. do you want people to feed you from spoon or what?

other softwares usually end up with bugs
i know, ive tried espeaker thigny too but its still buggy
nokia has the resources and it wont start from scratch if they tried putting in this feature.. besides, they, from experience probably know all the bugs that can be present
i'm not a terminal person, not exactly a professional
and powersaving, i meant like s60 has a system like.. when the battery is like 5-10%, the screen brightness will be reduced.. and if they limit processor state too or switch it to powersaving as governor, that could actually be useful

I am not sure Nokia is the best answer. Sure, they will probably put some more features in future upgrades but i like how the community gets the responsibility of development. The best Nokia could do is to open the source completely.
And that idea of powersaving is not entirely bad. Make a request for it. A script that unloads unnecessary kernelmodules, lower brightness and if overclocked reduce freq to 250mhz. If i had the knowledge.. i'd done it pronto.
I figured you dont really hate Nokia rather you love her too much that you want everything running on N900 developed by Nokia.
However, Im afraid I've to remind you the cruel reality that majority of the default packages come with N900 are not branded with Nokia.
If you want a phone runs 100% apps officially from Nokia then you must have bought the wrong phone.
The problems you listed can be summarized as "I bought the wrong phone for myself so I can't stop myself yelling". My condolence.

love it?
no
but they have technical experience *not referring to marketing* and the resources which one man alone *in the community* dont
and yes, they should make everything open shouce, or atleast contribute in their own projects *meego*
if the support was official for n900, we would have most of the drivers including cellular already

In my opinion one should know what he get for what he pay for. For me I know they won't release phone app in opensource (btw, who would?) and that I should dig into third-party packages for harnessing the extra functionalities of my N900.
The repetition of your own wish on Nokia revealed that you bought another phone from Nokia without serious forethought just because it's from Nokia. This is neither you, N900 or Nokia's fault, it's the blind love that put you into misery . Again, my condolence.
