In regards to Autodisconnect, under Auto Switch 2G/3G-Dual can someone explain the settings please i.e. 3G Switch last 2".

isnt there an app that keeps the device on 2g, while setting it to 3g when you're going online? and putting it back to 2g when you disconnect...

Its about the amount of time the fone gives the internet to connect.

Ive set mine to 3g switch last 6"

Dont choose dual !

To the OP - your post seems to indicate a revelation but I'm not sure what you think it might be.

I only have the option of choosing 2G, 3G or dual from my status area and although there is a mild increase in battery life with 2G it is still nowhere near what you are reporting.

The only widgets/running things that use internet with any regularity is default mail client checking gmail every 30min + the weather widget.

I can easily get through a day of uni/work without recharging with moderate use but no way could I make it more than 24 hours. Would love to know your secret.

i noticed the battery life had improved as well.now my n900 can make it through a whole day with my normal use which is pretty awsome.

Where is this setting at 8. Change Wifi Power saving setting to Intermediate

I only know of the 10mw and 100mw setting for wifi?

Keep pressing Next, till you get to the screen with no next, it's there in the end screen, on the left side.
