I've started noticing bugs. I opened opera but it didn't hit the dekstop, but still rotated. Had to do a killall opera.
Also the speeddial has had serious problems.

Sorry but uploading to imageshack with opera is a nightmare, copying the links is terribly difficult

Okay there is some serious sensativity or a bug in the kinetic panning. I light finger flick flies into a corner (zoomed) of the board index all the time. ANd I don't have a stylus anymore so I know how to flick kinetically.
Needs fixed, making it really hard to pan. Liked the previous versions scrolling speed much better.
Also when starting it should check the orientation if possible. i have the keyboard open and opening it rotates it, which is annoying cause opening and closing it does 2 rotations.

Hi guys,
We have just released updated Opera Mobile browser for Maemo - 10.1beta1-6. This is bug fix release and it has following bugs fixed:
  • Screen orientation setting should now work
  • Fix for "warp speed" when panning
The build is being pushed to extras-testing now. For the major highlights of 10.1 release please see

It's in extras-testing, but is that repo available for Diablo too? This warp speed bug is a serious pain.

There is no testing repository for Diablo, you'll have to get it from extras-devel.

You can add it to the application manager using this install link:

There is now tearing when scrolling in the portrait mode (but, seemingly, not in landscape). On the other hand, the scrolling is damn fast now =)

I had to install via command line

apt-get install opera-mobile

Screen orientation setting is now working (thanks a lot)

I feel the inertial scrolling too limited, I'm used to operamini for android which is now simply perfect.

BTW opera for maemo is still classified as beta, and operamini for android doesn't

Known issue in the original 10.1 Beta release:

- Screen tearing may be visible when panning, especially in portrait mode.
Hopefully a fix will arrive in due course.
