TMO thanks are pretty low weight in the karma system to be honest. And Nokia go through each elegible candidate by hand regardless (or at least they used too) they probably didn't last time with the N900 as I believe anyone with greater than 250 was accepted, unlucky for me and a few others that have been here for a while. I had to shell out full price. :'(

I am not condoning the thanking-yourself-behavior at all - but, and maybe it's just me, it does come across as a little 'tacky' to call someone out publicly in a post like this instead of just contacting a moderator/admin.

Nope it's not just you, I thought, and still think it's tacky, but I feel that if he is using such blatent forms of cheating to increase his reputation here, I'd like to play flair and bring it down a notch (as obviously it means alot to him).

The profiles are near identical, joined around the same time, his ae only has 3 posts but has thanked over 50 times nearly all of which are to n0ak.
See here all the threads he has thanked, and they are all (but one or two) to n0ak.

Doubt any cares at all, but I do use the reputation system as a way to judge the reliability/trustworthiness of the information someone has posted.
I barely even remember that there is a thanking system o.o...lol this stuff is just sad, he needs a life. Although, I can't help but wonder how you recognized this???

Maybe I should make me an alter ego just for laughs xD!!

It's far from a perfect system, but the complaints have been few relative to the praises.
What discount eligibilities are you referring to?
