a simple yet challenging single-player puzzle game

100 Boxes is a simple yet challenging puzzle game for Maemo 5 devices.
Fill all the boxes of the 10x10 grid. If you move horizontally or vertically you must skip 2 boxes. If you move diagonally you must skip 1 box.
You can submit your scores to the online worldwide high score ranking and compete with all other 100 Boxes players!

No, but I agree the screenshot looks a bit like one. Maybe a video would be useful to show the gameplay.

Today version 0.6.1-2 is available on Extras repository!

It adds sound effects and an end-game score report.

I am looking forward to make a gameplay video.

Gameplay is explained very well, though the reviewer seems not to have a knack on mathematical puzzles

No I didn't. My brother taught me. The game was very popular when he was a school boy. It was played with paper and pencil.

Great news: version 0.8.0 is in Extras-testing for testers and community members to check before release on Extras.

The new version includes several improvements:
  • Added localization support
  • Added Italian localization
  • Added game statistics
  • Added automatic saving of game state and statistics
  • Nicer game sounds
  • Added the possibility to disable sounds
  • Added daily and weekly views worldwide high score tables

Has anyone completed this yet? I get somewhere into the mid 90's and then run out of moves!
