Ali,
I had the same problem with 6.0 (big sky). Unzip the archive to /and and DONT install the kernel debian package afterwards--the kernel is included in the archive.

If you try it please let me know how it goes, I gave up waiting for for Sling to support Symbian S60v5, never mind supporting Maemo!

I don't know. I installed both packages. Now remembering the directions said you had to >.>. And it ran the commands as i thought it should. Seemed working that is.
So I rebooted. And nothing :/. I mean. I'd simply prefer just to start from scratch at this point and do it all over. But I do not know how to get everything back to the pre-screwed stage.
