Has anyone else noticed how unstable the browser has brcome since the Skype update firmware? It crashes most of the time you get a low battery warning and it crashes every few hours too, just to annoy and keep you worrying. I've tried a re-flash, and it does it even without any new programs installed (althouygh I did restore my bookmarks and Connections from a Backup). I'm seriously ready to downgrade to the previous version.

My sense is that the browser crashes more often since the last firmware also, but I don't have solid data.

Mine only crashes when I go to poorly-laid-out websites with loads of advertising garbage like "smartag" links and that crap.
So I don't go to those blogs and instead read them via RSS.
Looking at YOU, Darla Mack...

I had my n800 for a few weeks before the latest updaes and the browser never would crash on me, now, crashes all the time!
Also, when I open a new browser window to have two browsers open the two windows get stuck in some type of loop bouncing back and forth between each other.
The only way to get them to stop is to keep clicking on the menu bar till it finally stops.
And i've lost my 'open in new window' item when i click and hold the stylus on a link.

I've not installed the new Skype firmware recently but I have noticed a marked reduction in stability over the past few days. I think the most recent things I have installed are Kagu and Video Centre. Does anyone know how to get a list of the most recently installed apps?

That would be very interesting. usually it is in /var/log/dpkg.log but for embended devices, logfiles are not always the best.. i havnt found anything yet

I also have occasionnal crash every (around every 10hrs of browsing)
And I have no clue which engine I use exactly.

How to run the browser from command line? that would help for tracking the beast
I have disable flash since a few days and until now.. no problem.

It's been really stable for me so far (opera and microb, but I use opera more due to its speed) until I installed Privoxy. The flash-filter on privoxy is handy on those EVIL sites that has loads and loads of flash advertisement, but on some really bad sites it's somehow eating up the resources until the browser crash.
