everytime i try to get fmms on my nokia n900 it comes up with unable to install 'fMMS'
aplication packages missing: python(=2,5,2-3maemo3)

does anyone know where i can get that??
or how i could fix it?
help would be much appreciated

hey...even me stuck with the same thing..
also in addition..when I am downloading few apps like quicknote..it downloads completely and then starts a 230 kb download..which everytime fails..do anyone have any idea to overcome it ?..help really appriciated

and ive only really tried to get fmms so far so i dunno

yeah i dont understand that at all haha.
i tried the thing in xterm but it says code not found

i just put in the app manager catalog extras testing and then for some odd reason it let me get fmms so i dunno
very stupid though lol

its because python is in extras-testing

ah fair enough yeah i only had the maemo extras i think, but i was getting very frustrated lol but all good now

I tried this command.
It says, "Python2.5 is already the newest version" and then it still does not INSTALL it.
I also tried "apt-get -install python2.4" ,It throws error like

"Package python2.4 is not available,but is referred to by and other package.
This may mean that package is missing,has been obsoleted or is only available from another source"

Is there any manual way to install it ?.
I am really stuck and feels like installing PR 1.2 version was a mistake.
I am not able to install many applications due to this error.

Please help me out !!
