The bit I just cant understand is
There is space

5gb free of normal phone memory

and

170mb free of installable memory

So it should allow me to install things

in theory.......yes, bu you have all opt folder full at 98% and rootfs full at 97% mean that you can't install anymore.

If you say that you don't have many applications installed and you have performed all step (apt-get autoclean, apt-get purge, etc.) i don't understand why you can't free your rootfs........

You have only 170mb free out of 2 gigs of installable application space, and you don't have a lot of applications installed?

Something isn't adding up here.

It is probably something that was downloaded to your rootfs via your web browser. Flash item, etc. maybe?

Also your 5gb free of normal phoen memory have nothing to do with your rootfs or installable application space. It is completely seperate from the two. (unless you've reformatted your phone)
