Lol... I might just get a new device, on my own... My N900 was a grey import (and a free gift to begin with) so there's no warranty to speak of...

Hi.
I think I might have a new variant of "bricked" of a n900.

This is what I lamely done:

Changed the default shell of root and user to 'bash' in /etc/passwd
Don't think this is the cause.

Then.. for something completely lame.. and totally useless.. i renamed the 'user' user in /etc/passwd to 'hangas'.. I think this is the real culprit.

Anyway I can mount the rootfs or access via USB?
The phone does seem to boot the kernel, but no desktop booting.
No ssh service running, no IP on the wifi.. not even USB access to the eMMC or SD card. USB devices are detected but not available to mount..

any ideias I can hack into this thing, or do I have to flash the rootfs? I don't want to loose conversation history...
