Just a brief "heads up" for people that may have missed it.

qtdone has been in extras-devel for a while, and I've been using it myself with some success (not that I've necessarily got things done, but I've been happy with how the application works).

I'm waiting for my summer holiday to add some polish e.g. to context/category support, but it appears I don't miss it myself that much. I'll move it to extras-testing after that.

If you have a suitable icon for the app, feel free to send it over ;-).

Code is at

http://gitorious.org/qtdone

Most importantly: yes, it's optified.

Hi,

Can you please clarify your licensing? I looked through your source tree, but couldn't see any license headers or COPYING.

I've (just today, not knowing of this) hacked up a basic CLI TODO application which I plan to do things with (see http://github.com/rburchell/finishit - keep in mind it's basically a total hackjob just to fulfil my needs right now) but if licensing isn't an issue and our goals are similar I might look at contributing instead.

Funny coincidence, I was just now looking at finishing the packaging bits etc. for qtdone. The license will be MIT (so shouldn't be a problem for anyone ;-).

My goals for this are pretty minimal, pretty much what the state of application is right now (though I just made it show "Now" items in case inbox is empty). I sort of dropped my ambition for category support as I'm not using them myself.

Edit: just took a look at finishit. It seems your needs are even more minimal than mine ;-).

Bump.

I have now promoted it to extras-testing, and am whoring for Extras votes. If you like the program, go ahead and vote (link in signature)

Bumping this to say qtdone has now graduated from extras-testing purgatorio to the aspired "extras" repository. Yay!

Congratz!

Quick getting things done applicatiation

Create one-line tasks and juggle them between now/later/deferred. Primitive category support available

This is a great start. I hope you hang in there as the enhancement and improvement ideas from the community start coming in.

"Defer" seems to be my favorite button.

on downloads I asked where qtdone stores user's data

the answer was: the database should be at:/home/user/.qtdone.db.sqlite

Thanks Ville but but but...
I'm lost - I've looked in /home/user/ for .qtdone.db.sqlite and can't find it!
I've used n900 fileman, case & Cute and see nothing at all, in MyDocs, root dir, anywhere
I've repopulated the .qtdone file with dummy data and can't find that too.
where oh where is it?
