I have just installed bash, and it's working nicely, but the next step is to change the shell for "user" to bash from busybox. I tried changing this in /etc/passwd but when I rebooted, it locked me into a reboot cycle, and I had to reflash. Does anyone know how to safely change the shell from busybox to bash for user? Thanks.

I would have thought it would be as simple as putting in the path to your bash in the last field of /etc/passwd. Perhaps someone else will have a better idea.

I would think that you could login (remotely with ssh) and try the login before you reboot, which should prove that it atleast works as one would expect.

BTW, where did you get bash for the N800? I too, would like to have it as my primary shell (I miss pushd/popd).
