Hello

ive done searches but cant find an answer. i can see shared files on my phone and the default media player can see the network shared folders. but i cannot figure out how to make mplayer see these files. ive got both kmplayer and sib cannot see network files. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

MediaBox can use mplayer as a backend for playing from UPnP shares.
Its default backend on the N900 is MAFW, but it can easily be configured to use mplayer instead.

thanks mediabox is too klunky for me. can i use what i have currently have?

For mplayer you need to get the HTTP URLs of the files on the share, and that is the hard part.
If you're lucky, your UPnP server has some web interface where the URLs become visible and the content is browsable.

ok media box works worse then the defalt player.nothing plas smoothly.no videos play from the network. some videos work on the defalt player but dont work on media box. i changed player to the backend media player nothing works
