Is there a way to make the MicroB Browser open up a custom homepage?

I don't like the default config where MicroB opens up the bookmarks window, which then annoyingly stays open after choosing a bookmark which opens in another window.

I have looked at some simular threads but they did not really provide a solution....

I have also tried about:config and edited:
browser.startup.homepage = my homepage choice
browser.startup.use_default_homepage = true

But that does nothing as far as I can see.....

Any suggestions?

Stop using the app launcher for the browser. Just create a bookmark on one of your 4 desktops. That's the page that opens. Don't you have a custom desktop for your favorite app shortcuts and web bookmarks? If not, you should. My only desktop web bookmark opens up a local html file.

Yeah, that does it....but I dont want that big bookmark on my desktop, takes up to much space....

If I could change the bookmark icon, then that would be sweet.....is that possible?

You can create a .desktop with a command like this:

Take a look at /usr/share/applications/hildon/ovi.desktop. Change the icon and url and you'll have a shortcut for any bookmark.

Here's my Yahoo Mail Mobile shortcut:

Put this in /usr/share/applications/hildon/ and name it like 'ymail.desktop' or 'google.desktop' (mine's ymail.desktop)
Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Version=0.40
Type=Application
Name=Yahoo Mail
Exec=dbus-send --system --type=method_call --dest="com.nokia.osso_browser" --print-reply /com/nokia/osso_browser/request com.nokia.osso_browser.load_url string:"http://m.yahoo.com/w/ygo-mail/folders.bp?srcp=messagelist"
Icon=ymail
download an appropriate .png format image sized to 48x48 with transparency to /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/

change the icon= section to the name of your icon (without the .png part) and the others to match your URL and application name.

Hope this helps!
