Code:
Press a key to select [countdown]

1 - NITDroid on MMCp2 - 2.6.28.NIT.05
And that's it. This appears no matter how the keyboard is slid...
Press the "P" key (which is also zero) to boot standard Maemo.

Ok.. So I'm almost ready to jump in to the the android boat with my N900.. one question first..

I'm Using titan's power kernel (with ideal) is that going to interfere somehow? I noticed there is a command you have to run if you're using the power kernel.. what does it do?

yes the extra part jsut adds the power kernel into multiboot as multiboto dynamicly flashes to whatever kernel is needed (nitdroid needs a heavily custom kernel that would not boto maemo not) so power kernel must be in their to allow booting it

Hello. I'm trying to install NITDroid and I'm stuck..

I'm following these instructions: http://wiki.nitdroid.com/index.php?title=N900-install and have got to:

I couldn't install the kexec tools via Xterminal so I did that via application manager.

1. Download and install Multiboot.

I get the error:

/home/user # wget http://downloads.nitdroid.com/multib..._0.1_armel.deb
/bin/sh: wget: not found

How can I sort this? Sorry, Linux is new to me so I'll need it step by step please. Cheers.

Thanks Steve, I wasn't expecting a response so quick. Tried to do what you suggested, but the results didn't look too good:

/home/user # apt-get install wget http://downloads.nitdroid.com/multib..._0.1_armel.deb
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package http:
/home/user # apt-get install wget http://downloads.nitdroid.com/multiboot_0.2.5_armel.deb
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package http:
/home/user # dpkg -i multiboot*.deb
dpkg: error processing multiboot*.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
multiboot*.deb
/home/user #

What do you think?

@browncaravan:

Check your repositories wich ones you got enabled, i think you need devel enabled to get those tools you want to download

e: ohh, you just need to type 'apt-get install wget' as root
That will install wget...
Then go on with the other install (wget multiboot thing).

Dousan. Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, my N900 doesnt want to know. It seems I am not able to install programs via Xterminal. The reason for this is because I have edited 'obexd' and 'libopenobex1' in order to have PBAP to work with my hands free kit. I guess Maemo is upset that it doesnt match with what the standard Maemo OS.

Is there any way around this? Here is what Xterminal says:

/home/user # apt-get install wget
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
mp-fremantle-205-pr: Depends: obexd (= 0.18-0maemo5+0m5) but 0.28-0maemo3 is to be installed
Depends: libopenobex1 (= 1.4-0maemo3+0m5) but 1.5-2 is to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
/home/user #

Does this mean I need to try: 'apt-get -f install wget' to ignore the unmet dependencies?

Thanks

If you want standard Maemo to appear in multiboot
Code:
root
cp etc/multiboot.d/examples/Maemo-2..6.28-omap1.item /etc/multiboot.d
