Good news everyone!
If I'm reading this right, they DID release all the source (including the video drivers) for the Samsung Captivate on their open-source site!

I guess they just didn't put it in the same single tarball. YAY!!!
Once again, something Nokia didn't even bother to do in all these years with Maemo.

All negativity aside.. I do think it's cool Samsung released their code. Definitely a step forward for the Mobile market in general.. no need to single anybody out.

Hm, wouldn't that be pretty much a sort of Mer with working drivers (okay, okay, I'm exaggerating) ? Would people really be interested in something without all the Nokia sauce added (like Flash, Maps, Skype, Exchange, Ovi stuff, etc...), and without most of the things in Extras ?
