When I do *#0000# I see
V <unkown>
Rx-51 , Nokia N900

I could not find anything in the "Here are the similar threads we found " ...!

I think i got this problem after flashing my phone with the latest firmware and flashing with flasher 3.5...but i am not sure about it....So kindly help me in this....!

And just after this only i am not able to see my update using nokia pc suite ..The nokia updater even fails to recognize my phone that is just becz it doesn't know the version...though i don't wanna update my phone as it is the updated version but if in future the update comes i wanna update it with nokia pc suite ...

so kindly help me ....


P.s - I would be glad if you make me understand in layman language that is keeping ur words as simple as u can

It sounds like you have the same problem people had when flashing the early over clocking kernels, and i think the same solution should work for you detailed here http://wiki.maemo.org/Overclocking#F...on_information
This will restore your version info in "about product" in settings which afaik should also fix it in *#0000#

have you used your countrys right firmware version?

have you flashed the power kernel ?
it will make the version unrecognizable sometimes

I checked out this post in the link u gave "Reverting to the Original Kernel and this Fixing the version information "
by doing this
apt-get install --reinstall kernel kernel-flasher and
dpkg -l "mp-fremantle*"

tried even by gaining the root mode...via sudo gainroot...!

but it didn't helped....!

It didn't found the package!!

Yes i putted the right version...I m from india and putted the right version...!

Yes i flashed my kernal once and then overclocker it to 750mhz ..
I don't know if flashing the kernal and power kernal means same ...but yes i flashed my phone once with the latest firmware...!
