That is not Nokias fault or the N900 fault. Complain to authors of those software packages instead.
Cold.

Hard.

Fact.

Doesn't make anybody feel any more enamored with buying another Nokia product, though, don't you think?

This is not an acceptable answer, I am fully aware of the N900's situation and am aware that many people consider it to be a "Dev Phone" but there is just no such thing, the N900 can be used by the average person it's not like you have to write ten lines of code to ring a number!
"Your answer is not acceptable". WTF? Acceptable to whom what when how WHATTA H? Okey let´s see. What should I answer? If you do understand English you probably did notice that I DID NOT made any hint that what Nokia did is RIGHT. What I said is that advertising this phone was mistake. Right? D-o y-o-u u-n-d-e-r-s-t-a-n-d?

It has limited support and it´s being used as devel platform for Meego. What do you really mean that there is no such a thing as devel phone? Please be specific when saying generalizations.

Should Nokia provide better support IMHO? Ohmmmmhhmmmmm - YES!

My point is that the N900 has problems that would irritate the average person however it should not be said that these people should have bought a "mature device" Nokia has been around for years now and all of the devices should be "mature" the real problem Im sure you'll have to agree is that there is no support from nokia, if all the apps that make the n900 a better ecperience where on the ovi website we would be a step closer to a usable phone. As an example why isn;t fmms on the Ovi store???
I do not know about other people but in links what i provided Nokia representative said that people who are looking for mature device should by something else. Again back to that what I said. Mistake in marketing and mistakes in communication. Nokia is entitled to give customers as bare down device as possible but they should inform about it clearly and loudly!

Nokia have relegated the N900 to the stormy seas all by itself where it will most certainly sink, this shouldn't be the case, never before have I had a phone as good as the N900.
Huoh...What do you mean that it sinks? You and that phone are ALONE and you with meego n900 adaption team and nitdroid and perhaps some other upcoming project choose what to do. Choose what ever you want to do.

Fck sake I´m so full of this stuff where people start jumping on you and think that i´m defending Nokias decisions. I´m cursed with logical thinking and that seems to be bad in the middle of hattifattener.

It might depend which country you are in but if I go to the following link then I get both the free version and the Pro version:

The free version provides a vertical resolution equivalent to VGA (480 height) while the PRO version provides a range of resolutions upto WXGA (800 height). (Note that these resolutions assume you pan the camera perfectly horizontally - typically I get a resolution of 700-750.)

Angry man... angry birds... angry at ovi store...
There's gotta be a hidden untapped psychotherapy potential here. We just need to harness it somehow.

Yanno... I hadn't really noticed that "angry" was a running theme with Ovi until you pointed that out. That's GOT to mean something.
