So in summary, Linux is not for everyone.

There. Problem solved. I vote we close this thread now. : )

+1
The entire discussion in this thread has nothing to do with the OP. So I see no reason for it to remain open.

I have to disagree there. They're AS configurable, if not more. Let's not forget that Android has been, ironically, more open-sourced than Maemo 5.
Please tell me more about this, I really would like to hear some facts.

Facts is not something you will hear in this topic.
So far, it contains only subjective statements from people who are not willing to listen to each other.

With reference to my post, how can you call the N900 a straw man. The N900 is what is being discussed here, is it not? I listed *some* of the things that I enjoy on my N900 and that I would definitely want to have in a device that I upgrade to. And you call that a straw man? It is like some guy from another country moving to yours and going on and on about how unhappy he is with this and that, and raving about how his country has x or y that is so much better. But, you, your family, and your friends, were all perfectly happy until this troll arrived. The troll refuses to see the beautiful unique aspects of your country that make it such a pleasant place. He is obsessed with finding fault and with comparing it to his country. And when you list the unique and beautiful aspects of your country to him he labels them as a straw man. Talk about a TROLL.

Alright, this thread is officially a ball now.
It goes round and around and has no point.

You can see it as sort of a point only if you take 100 steps back.

.and squint.

Oh well I'll post something completely off-topic.

Does anyone know if Meego will have "proper" support for bluetooth keyboards and will "USB Host mode" will be included too?

Depends on the actual device and drivers.
