since today i have a problem with my n900

when i close the phone a little bit to hard, it crashes....

it doesnt do the normal shutting down process, it just off in less then a second

everytime its happens i have to restart,
when i close really gently i don't have a problem...
anybody here who knows what i'm talking about an how i might be able to fix it,
please help, i don't want to send it back to finland to have it repaired
thanks in advance

Sounds like there's something up with the HW inside your N900, I'd go to a Nokia repair centre and have it repaired.

You could try removing and replacing the battery in case some crud got in the contacts, perhaps. Worth a try, at least.

battery removed and replaced several times, but problem is still there.
Can they fix hardware problems in the care center, or do they ship it of to the factory?

Doesn't sound like a very hard issue to resolve, so they'll probably do it there. They don't repair at the factory though, they may need to send it to some specialized Nokia place in case it's a major error.

This looks like he problem I have on my N900 this week. After over a day of tweaking I found it was relatred to battery that was "moving around inside the phone" and made glitches.

Solution was to add some tape at the left side of the battery it could move now it works fine again :-)

Sorry my poor english I hope you get what i mean by this picture.
