This is already built into the phone. Go to Settings -> VoIP and IM Accounts

in App Manager if you enable Maemo Extras repository you can add additional protocols for other services. But main IM functionality is built into the conversations & contacts of the phone, and it works great.

The thread "is there any program i can make a chat on it using (yahoo-msn-facebook) on my n900 ???" with two posts has been merged into this thread.

Ahmed Henry, out of respect for users of previous Maemo devices, please do not continue to put your N900/Maemo 5-specific threads in the General forum. Thank you.

I dont want to go tru 500 post's just for this one thing, but does anyone know if there is any chance to implement a voice feature for MSN my old msn app for the n95 enabled me to send voice clips, any chance of this happening on n900, and Amsn doesnt work for me so that is a no go.

Unfortunately, eventhough i already update my Nokia N900 as version 20.2010.36-2 thru PR 1.3 but it seems no different/changes for my N900. Until today, i still failed to signin/login my Yahoo Messanger in Conversation ops. This is happen since i do update my N900 from PR 1.1 to PR 1.2. I also failed to register my Yahoo Mail. What's the problem actually? I thoguht, by update my N900 to the latest version-PR 1.3, everything will resolve and works well.

Please help me... T_T

Without going through 60 pages, though I did go through quite a few, what would you recommend me to use with these in mind:

-I used Pidgin and it kept crashing and closing
-Amsn takes forever to load, is slow and cluttered.
-I do not want some plugin that will integrate msn contacts into my phone contacts or something like that, want an application.
-I am only going to use msn(hotmail).

Recommendations?
