Hmm? I will ofcourse update the transitions.ini when the official update comes out. Won't change anything for some 3rd party hildon-desktop hack (because I think users who have knowledge on installing that, has also knowledge on editing the transitions.tmp file included with Plastic Theme Pack themself)

I just uploaded a 2.308 version of Plastic Theme Pack (the base package) to extras-devel. It allows now easy converting existing themes into Plastic Schemes. You need to type two commands to terminal and that's it (rootsh needs to be installed):
Code:
sudo gainroot
cp -rf /usr/share/themes/THEMETOCONVERT /opt/plastic-schemes/NEWSCHEMENAME
After that you can run Plastic Setup and choose your new scheme. Setup script will take care of removing unwanted files etc.

Ok, promoted the 2.308 to extras testing, please test and vote:
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...c-theme/2.308/

Also updated the opening post's instructions about coverting themes into schemes:

CONVERTING OTHER THEMES INTO PLASTIC SCHEMES - version 2.308 or later only!
You need to have package called "rootsh" installed, so install that first from extras. After that you just need to copy the desired theme folder into /opt/plastic-schemes/ folder and that's it.

Detailed instructions:
- First we need to find out the folder of the theme to be converted. Type these into xterm:
Code:
sudo gainroot
cd /usr/share/themes
ls
That will give you list of installed themes (their folder names actually). Built in themes are stored in folders "alpha" and "beta". Alpha = NSeries, Beta = Digital Life.
Don't care about folders called "Raleigh", "Emacs" or "Default", they are not actual Themes.
If we want to make Digital Life to be Plastic Scheme, then we would use this command:
Code:
cp -rf /usr/share/themes/beta /opt/plastic-schemes/DigitalLife
Note that we will name the target directory as "DigitalLife", that's the text shown @ Plastic Theme Setup as scheme name. That cannot contain whitespaces, but capitals are allowed.
You can replace the "beta" with the theme directory you want and also the "DigitalLife" with name you want.

If we want to convert the NSeries theme to Plastic Scheme, then we would use this command:
Code:
cp -rf /usr/share/themes/alpha /opt/plastic-schemes/NSeries
You must be "sudo gainroot"ed all the time or copying will fail.

Hi, just upgraded to current version and as usual plastic theme installed with "default settings". So went to settings, reactivated my preferences and did not activate auto-reboot. But just when it finished setting up the theme the device rebooted!
Did I do something wrong or might there be a bug in the setup (switched behaviour of auto-reboot or sthg like that)?

Hmm... that's strange. I cannot reproduce the behaviour myself (just upgraded from the repos myself, so I'm using the exact same version as you are. Can someone else reproduce such behaviour?

Could it be possible that you just accidently tapped the "reboot" -option? Maybe I should add more space between the reboot -option and save -button...

Definitliy not. I'm using a special kind of 'pen' as my fingers aren't that slim. And I very closely looked at the setting of auto-reboot as I first wanted to reinstall maenotify which has a bug and gets deactivated after a change of the theme. So I was waiting for plastic setup to finish and just when it was about to show the last message the device rebooted. There also was no message indicating that the auto-reboot is about to be executed, it just rebooted.
Strange thing, this N900

Okay, if no "rebooting in 5 seconds" -message wasn't shown, then it was something else that made your phone reboot. Maybe it was the restarting of services or then wrong position of moon and stars at the sky, hard to say
