Just curious, how come Mappero, excellent app by the way, has a red circle with strike through line through it to represent GPS on.

Surely that means off!

Just seems a bit counter intuitive to me when a green tick or some such would better denote on!

Also anyone know what the auto-download pre-cache values mean please?

I think the point is that it is a button to turn the GPS off rather than an indicator of status. Always confuses me which way round app writers think to be honest.

Ah I see, I never would have worked that out.

You're right I thought it was status ie currently on and therefore should be green.

:-)

thanks

Hopefully someone reads this before I have to start a new thread.

Mappero is awesome, but there are two things that escape me:

1. how to keep the gps location centered when driving. Every few minutes I drive 'off the map' and have to sweep the screen to get the dot back center.

2. how do I prevent the screen from switching off.
