Yes, I was finnaly able to install it.

( Note: copy both libgssdp.deb and libgupnp.deb to root folder)
Open X terminal
sudo gainroot
cd MyDocs ( Note : M and D caps)
dpkg -i libgupnp-1.0-2_0.12.8-0maemo2+0m5_armel.deb
dpkg -i libgssdp-1.0-1_0.6.4-0maemo2+0m5_armel.deb

Thats all.
Now install aMSN.

It also worked for my as above. but I changed names of the file a bit. (shortened it) so it was easier to type in X terminal.

and than you should be able to install amsn.

Does video call still work with this current version of AMSN and PR1.2? I thought it didnt work since MSN changed the protocol or something..

so in my case it were

cd MyDocs
dpkg -i libgssdp.deb
dpkg -i libgupnp.deb

it shouldn't matter if it comes from a pc or its a direct download to your phone
you need to make sure they're in the root folder tho otherwise
cd MyDocs
is taking you to the wrong place
ok i write the .deb on tohose files and now i get an error.
1.dpkg-deb: "unexpected en of file in version number in /home/user/MyDocs/libgupnp.deb"
and
2."dpkg: error prosessing /home/etc... /libgupnp.deb (--install):"
and
3."subprocess dpkg-deb --control returned error exit status 2 errors were encountered while processing: /home...../libgupnp.deb"

what is the matter now?

have you renamed them to include '.deb' in the file manager? if so you need to remove the '.deb'

will you copy and paste what happens in the terminal when you try, starting from the 'sudo gainroot' command

$ sudo gainroot
root shell enabled

Busybox v1.10.2 (debian 3:1.10.2.legal-losso30+0m5) built-in shell(ash)

/home/user # cd MyDocs
/home/user/Mydocs # dpkg -i libgssdp-1.0-1_0.6.4-0maemo2
dpkg-deb: "unexpected en of file in version number in libgssdp-1.0-1_0.6.4-0maemo2
dpkg: error prosessing libgssdp-1.0-1_0.6.4-0maemo2 (--install):"
"subprocess dpkg-deb --control returned error exit status 2 errors were encountered while processing: libgssdp-1.0-1_0.6.4-0maemo2

thats from the files that i dowloaded from that page and did not rename or write the .deb.

the files are it the MyDocs folder and they are in unkown state. if i put the end .deb on them they chance to a debian file. if i put the .deb in the command line an error says that "no such file exists"

i really want this to work.....

i/e never come across that error before, so can you tell me.
if you go into filemanager and if you have a memory card you need to open the N900 folder do you see them there? if so what symbol do they have?
if they aren't there, you need to move them there and the symbol should be a white circle with a red spiral in it (see the attatched image)
if all that is ok, are you upto date using pr1.2?

i dont have a memory card. if i go to the file manager after the download the files are not debian files. i have to change the files to .deb and then they change to debian files that was in the photo. im not sure that em i up to date whit pr 1.2 i should try to download pr 1.2 again from the nokia dowloader. awery time when i get a update (that yellow square on the top of the screen) i get a maemo update but it can only be updated from the computer. when i try to download a update from nokia downloader it says that there is not any updates??

ok but ill try it again and i will post again after that.
