my bro and a couple of his friends are looking to get a new phone. they were all thinking of getting iphones or atleast something good looking and slim. they've checked out my phone in the shops already and thought it was too big but after playing with my phone for a while they were really impressed and wanted one. i didnt want them to get it to be honest because i don't want them to waste almost 3k and regret it. i warned them its not a phone for everybody, doesn't officially support mms, video calling, weak usb port and anything else i can think of. but they still set on getting it.
i just wanted to let you proud n900 owners to know this. its a really impressive device, even to the average non geeky users.
think i'm going to be real busy setting up, tweaking, and modding their devices when i get it though. sigh..
btw. going offtopic. i was showing them fmms but because i was in australia when i installed the earlier versions of fmms and u know how u had to set your own number. well im in nz now and when i send an mms it says that i sent it from my old australian number. and when they send me an mms their numbers show up as 0000. anyone know a fix for this? also i just thought of this now but this could be a good way of sending fake mms, good way to prank people, etc.
