I think this is cause the rotation of screen. Example: when i have a call or I phone to people, the screen rotated. Sometimes after rotated, i found the desktop is frozen! Therefore i never set the rotation function any more, only landscape, then no more frozen. See this can help you or not.

Hello everyone!

In my case this has been happening because of Desktop Command Execution Widget. I uninstalled the application but then I reinstalled it. I edited every instance of the app I´ve.put on the desktop and disabled the "Update when switching to the desktop" option.

This way I solved the bug on my N900 and I´m able to use the DCEW app. I hope this helps.

for anyone who has problematic commands on the desktop cmd widget, removing it and re installing it won't help. you need to delete/edit the custom commands by opening xterm and running

rm ~/.desktop_cmd_exec ths will erase all commands you've added
if you know which one it is you can either run

vi ~/.desktop_cmd_exec to remove the command - only if you know how to use the text editor or you can add a stock widget to the desktop and in its settings find the command and remove it
