It would seem this method is only for removing version 0.1. (presuming you have booted into standard kernel and not power that is)

can someone who doesn't mind potentially having to re-flash try apt-get remove multiboot-extras and see if that removes it for you please?

Are you possibly trying to remove multiboot-0.2.x with multiboot-0.1.x removal script? It won't work.

To remove multiboot-0.2.x, do

apt-get remove multiboot multiboot-extras

or

dpkg -r multiboot multiboot-extras

Hi Jay-C, I'm trying to remove multiboot-0.1.x but the script cannot be found under the link you posted here. I've looked for it on downloads.nitdroid.com in all the folders but can't find it. Can you help me out with an alternative location?
Thanks

I tried

apt-get remove multiboot multiboot-extras

and just got a bunch of errors. Next I tried the dpkg route and that failed due to dependencies. I've reflashed a zillion times now and take a daily backup so was happy to try anything. Just tried

apt-get remove multiboot

and it worked fine.
