Hmmm... upgrade. Start. Crash...
Activates the GPS unit right before it crashes since I see the satellite dish keeping on blinking for a couple moments.
Going back to 7.71 which works. But feels so old now...

Maybe, you have the follow the Sygic 10 upgrade path :

- uninstall the version 9
- remove the Drive, Maps, Res folders and deb file
- unzip the version 10 to your internal memory (link has been sent by Sygic during August)
- launch deb
- launch Sygic, activate, etc...
- then activate the repository to update with last version

Regression: Navigation is suspended if the screen is locked.

This means no navigation with N900 in pocket (e.g. cycling) because of spurious screen presses.
And no energy saving by navigating voice-only.

Sygic fixed this with an update to v9, now they've broken it again.

The interface is certainly snappier that the first v10, but still lagging behind v9 in terms of usefulness (for me) because of this issue.

something is very fishy here with the GPS, also for me. I was waiting for minutes to get a valid signal. No Joy. I Gave up, started google mobile maps in MicroB, and bang, it had a proper position in 5 seconds.

Started MM10 straight after that, and 4 minutes later, I'm still not having a fix.

I have a dark brown feeling this upgrade is F*cked up !! Already 2 items on the change list are not there (not counting the strange version number).

Also, FAP told me the upgrade was 4+ MB. But I only saw one installation file 1.4MB being downloaded. I think something is wrong ...

And I HAD followed the recommended upgrade path as Luma mentioned, when I installed the MM10.

"Sygic. We listen" I hope they listen here and now as well.

Edit : I just did a GPS hardware Autodetect and a message came up, flashing "Detection Failed". WTF ?

it really does consume less RAM and CPU! in my case, by 10-20mb and 20% less!

this update of sygic maps is awesome!
