Just wondering pondering if you are hitting some bug:

https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11218
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9628
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9101

I would probably try to reflash :|

.edit
And you have the newest firmware?

to thefoxtrot, Above was the most valid starting point of resolution of your problem (Geneven's apart).
You never know if your friendly univ sysadmin is lurking around here

@te37v
I was 17 when I first got my n900. How old are you?
I am probably getting a meego device too, unless Android gets a dual-core device with qwerty keyboard

@tekplay
Lol, it is around the bay area. I am going to keep narrowing it down until I have to reveal it

@slender

Thanks so much, dude.

Bug 11218: I don't get a message saying "Scan failed" although this bug seems similar to mine. It's not clear in the bug report if all wi-fi networks do not appear, but in my case, only one wi-fi network doesn't appear and all the rest are fine.

Bug 9628: I don't quite understand what this means but I am not experiencing abnormal battery drain.

Bug 9101: Totally possible, assuming that this failure to enter power save mode causes the n900 to not connect to only one wi-fi source (in my case, being my university). But it doesn't explicitly mention it so I am not sure. It does mention that the problem occurs from weak a wi-fi signal and mine most definitely is not weak.

Maybe I should report my own bug? Although I doubt I would be the one, single person experiencing this.

Going to keep my thread alive for more help. The more people that read this, the better

Agreed. The university going N-only with their wireless would be such a fatal, drastic change, but that seems an unlikely move.
