Well, we have a WiFi Switcher. But i cant seem to find a GPS Switcher. Bit of a pain going to the setting all the time to turn it on and off. We need a simple app like wifi switcher where you just click the status bar and then click off. Thanks.

Do you use alot of apps that access the GPS when you don't want them to access the GPS?

I'm jus asking because normally the GPS is switched off, and only switched on when an app is actually requesting position..

GPS auto-turns off when not in use.

If always on, you either left an app running or you enabled positioning messages in the chat menu. If you do, conversations keep the GPS on at all times. Depending on precision, it's coarse locked or fine locked.

Finally, turning it off will do nothing but crash using app at worst or get re-started at best.

Find out what's using it and shut it down. My money is on chat.
