You just prompted me to try, but it seems the "Mobile Phone Number" field is required for registration even though it's not marked with an asterisk. I wonder if that will change should these rumors of the N810 prove correct.

This is some form of horrible torture. My N800 is sat unloved behind me on the desk. Tossed aside at the mere hint of new tech to come

Yep, when I signed up, I couldn't help noticing that two of the top categories were 'breasts' and 'boobs'. Yea baby!

Seriously, I have to wonder what makes this portal/service different other than the fact that it seems to be supported by Nokia? The UI is so last century!

No, it's not necessary. I just signed up leaving the number blank.

That did not work for me using Firefox on Mac OS. MOSH redisplayed the registration form web page, this time with the text "You must enter a phone number" in red below the phone number field. However, I was able to sign up by visiting http://mosh.nokia.mobi/start in MicroB on my N800. That registration page didn't include a phone number field.

Worked fine for me on Firefox for Windows.

I hope that even if it does have a slider querty keyboard (EW!), that they do something about the way the characters are so freaking close to each other. I think that they were on to something big with an on-screen keyboard and they develop on it, making it more user friendly for people that aren't double jointed.

At least they should keep the on-screen keyboard on there, for us to decide which method we want to choose.

And when they discussed it becoming more mainstream, I hope to GOD they don't put a Windows based O.S on there. I'll shoot someone.

Nerf .ash and put bash on there!

I doubt we'd lose access to the virtual keyboard if they added a slide keyboard. That would not make much sense. If it was a clamshell design then maybe due to the form factor but not for slideout.

One thing a slide keyboard would do is make the ports of various Ultima games mentioned in the games section a bit easier That's good enough for me.

Just an interesting note... Whenever I search for N810, most of the hits appear to be that carphone someone posted earlier in this thread...It's obviously 810 (thats the way Nokia lists it: http://europe.nokia.com/A4142005), but I wonder why so many websites associate it wrongly to the Nseries....

There's a conspiracy afoot!
