Any word about a better processor? If it isn't better at video decoding I won't buy it.

Video bandwidth is the issue with the N800, not so much the processor (although it contains hardware video acceleration which is woefully underused). The design of the N800 video interface seems to have been compromised for one reason or another, we can only hope the new device didn't suffer the same fate.

Perhaps Chinook fixes this issue? I just want to be able to play h264 at 25fps....

I don't think anyone has answered "what exactly is the point of MOSH" yet. One of the blurbs said you could upload documents for sharing. I wonder if it might finally also be a way to sync contacts and bookmarks. That'd be useful, especially if, since it says it'll work with PC's, that the bookmarks and contacts might also be exportable into other application formats (thunderbird and firefox being the ones I'd care about).

That would make MOSH useful to me. If it's a general data sync service for my IT, and can interoperate with Thunderbird and Firefox on my Mac. Then they'd just need a calendar/to-do that also syncs with it.

I've also almost convinced my girlfriend to buy one ... but she needs a way to import and export with Word on her PC.

So... can anyone tell if MOSH fills in these gaps?

No, it doesn't do that. It's mainly for sharing content with others.

What is MOSH? It's one of those silly ideas that mobile phone companies dream up in a vague attempt to encourage you to make better use of their devices.

This particular idea seems to be a blatant exploitation of Web2.0-style concepts.

All that happens is that after an expensive launch, a few teenagers sniff around the new service and it ends up being used for little more than the sharing of porn videos. The mobile phone company Three launched something similar here in the UK, with the idea of "leveraging their community". When I last checked, all there seemed to be was movies of girls getting their boobs out.

Of course, I might be wrong. MOSH could be the biggest thing in the history of the Internet.

I think this is a great idea!

I thought that's what the internet was for?
