Just as a reminder, it's an x86 machine and it has a fan. So, I'm not sure battery life expectations should be too high.

From the specs it seems that it's a netbook in a shell of a tablet. So nothing is really surpising me.

If it takes that long my wild guess is that we will see something better to be announced at least(probably in Meego Conference, November).
I know i'm waiting till the end of this year for sure before i get my MeeGo tablet.

you mean maybe a MeeGo tablet from another manufacturer? Like Nokia? :P I wonder if we will see 'scrollbars' similar to the WeTab on other MeeGo tablets, that would be cool...

Why do you want to wait til the end of the year?

if the battery life really blows, I'd wait. who wants a tablet that attaches you to an outlet?

How long does the rechargeable battery run under normal use conditions?
The battery life for normal use is up to 6 hours.

IIRC, it was said somewhere in here:

Somebody even complained about the battery running flat after 2h of intensive use. But most people seem to confirm that it's like 6h.

Anyway, I placed my order on Amazon.
But still have to wait two to four weeks. Maybe Media Markt will have it earlier.
