Been wondering that myself for a long time. It would seriously be one of the coolest apps around.

Maybe we should see if we can get qemu-kvm working at decent enough speed.

The problem is, most of the virtual machine software out there is dependent upon the x86 CPUs.

What we need is the equivalent of the VT flag on ARM processors. I thought VMware MVP had some sort of thing to accelerate virtual machines on ARM though.

Why would we need it? We can get just about any application for Linux from Easy Debian. Games and what's not in Easy Debian is mostly available for Android. The only piece of software that I need and that still isn't available for Debian/Android it Spacetime, but I think we can forget about virtualizing Windows Mobile or iOS. Though I think iOS would be possible to install if someone really knew Darwin very well. From what I've read so far, iPhone 4 has the same GPU and CPU with Cortex-A8 chip. On top of that, it's based on mentioned Darwin, which is UNIX. So is it actually possible to get iOS on N900? Of course display screen driver would be a major issue...

Just found an article about it but it does not say much other then that some academic students might have been having the opportunity to play with such technology...
